Kirk Night
Kirk Night, named for the Scottish word for church, is St. Andrew’s Wednesday evening program for all ages. Kirk Night begins each week with supper at 5:45 p.m. The cost for the meal is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children.
After dinner there are programs for all ages.
There are two sessions of Kirk Night each school year. The first runs from the week after school starts in September until the week before Thanksgiving. The second session runs from late January until just before Easter.
Youth Group
Our youth group is designed for students 6th grade and up. We meet on Wednesday nights starting with dinner at 5:45 and concluding our program at 7:30. In addition to the regular sessions of Kirk Night during the school year, we have special activities during the month of December and also participate in our early Christmas Eve service in many ways. Youth help lead worship in various ways throughout the year. During the summer, there are many opportunities to help serve in our community and in other communities for our mission trip. We also meet for fun and fellowship. We love company and encourage youth to bring a friend too!
Children
Music Makers Children’s Choir practice from 6:30-7:00 in the Children’s Music Room. Children from Kindergarten – 5th grade can participate in this child-centered music program. Children are introduced to new songs, musical prayers and instruments that are all combined in Worship to praise God.
A Children’s Art Class is held in the education building’s Art Room (Room 103) from 7:00-7:30 p.m. In this session’s art project, Dear God: Prayers in a Box, kids will explore several types of prayer. Each week they will construct an origami box and a tactile symbol encouraging them to pray. For ages kindergarten through fifth grade.
Childcare
Nursery care is available for infants through 3 year olds. 4 and 5 year olds may attend the nursery if parents are in class or practice. Older children must either be in a class or with their parents during the 6:30-7:30 time period.

The Gospel According to…. ‘Gospel’ means ‘good news,’ and in church we usually think of the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. But good news comes to us in many ways. Pastor Gillian’s class will explore some of these avenues in the coming weeks. Join us in Room 204 on the second floor of the education building, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Gillian will repeat the class Mondays at 2 p.m. on Zoom. Contact Beth Lyon-Suhring at moc.liamtoh@gnirhusnoyl for a Zoom link.
