Worship Schedule
Join Us This Sunday
St. Andrew worships God together each Sunday at 10 a.m. Led by our pastor, our worship service includes a sermon, scripture readings, children’s sermon, prayer, and offering.
Worship at St. Andrew is a combination of traditional and contemporary with music led by a vibrant blend of instrumentalists and vocalists. Nurseries are available for infants through 5 years old during the worship service as well as during the education hour.
If you’re unable to worship with us in person, you may tune in to our live-streamed service on Facebook at 10 a.m. on Sundays or at any time that is convenient for you during the week.
The Lord’s Supper is usually served the first Sunday of the month, as well as at other special times of the year. We have an open table (all may participate).
Communion
Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life.”
In the last meal before his death, Jesus shared a simple meal of bread and wine with his friends, the disciples. During that meal Jesus spoke of the bread and wine as being symbols of his body which would be broken and his blood that was to be shed.
Communion is a meal that remembers this last meal of Jesus. In taking bread and wine, we trust that this will remind us of the love of Jesus, provide us forgiveness and strengthen us to do the work to which Jesus calls us.
At St Andrew Presbyterian all are welcome at the Table, even those who may bring their doubts and their questions.
On the first Sunday of every month we celebrate this meal and are assured of the love and grace of God that is open to everyone.
Music
Worship music at St. Andrew ranges from traditional hymns and anthems accompanied by piano, organ, and choir to newer praise music led by a small praise combo of instrumentalists and vocalists.
Chancel choir
Each Wednesday the Chancel Choir meets from 7:15-8:30 pm for our weekly rehearsal. No audition and no previous experience are necessary – just a willingness to share your talents! Music reading is preferred, but not required. Our Chancel Choir helps to lead worship each Sunday during the program year. Please consider joining us.
Bells
Join our Celebration Ringers bell choir, which meets on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:15 p.m. The ability to read music is needed to be a ringer. If you would like to ring, but don’t read music (yet), contact our music director.
Children’s Choir
Music Makers, St. Andrew’s choir for 4-8 year olds, meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:00 p.m. as part of our Kirk Night programming. Children take part in singing, sound stories, and other musical activities.
Praise Combo
The Praise Combo is composed of percussion and amplified acoustic instruments. The Combo helps to lead worship with modern arrangements of familiar hymns and contemporary praise music as well as collaborating occasionally with the Chancel Choir.

Baptism
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me”
We believe that the Sacrament of Baptism is a sign and seal of the promise of God’s grace. When anyone is baptized, the baptismal waters are placed on their head to remind us of God’s faithfulness in welcoming us all into the family of the Church. When Jesus was baptized, he heard the voice of God saying, “You are my beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
In our baptism we are reminded that we, too, are the beloved of God and that this love is given before we are even able to respond in faith.
Both the parents of the child and the congregation have a vital role to play in ensuring that those baptized are nurtured in the faith so they may grow up knowing the love of God.

Children in Worship
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church believes strongly in the centrality of worship in the life of the Christian community, and that includes children!
Worshiping with young children isn’t always easy! It’s one of those parental tasks that often seems to have absolutely zero chance of success but which pays huge dividends in the long run.
