Presbyterian Men and Youth Group Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

The Presbyterian Men will partner with the Youth Group to present the murder mystery dinner theater production, “Café Murder” in the Atrium at St. Andrew Church.  The cast, who are members of St. Andrew, will perform a short play during which there are certain clues to the murder hidden in the dialog and actions. Audience members seated at each table will have an opportunity to ask the cast members questions to help them solve the mystery of who committed the murder. There will be a small prize for each member at the table who chooses the guilty suspect. If more than one table selects the correct answer, the winning table will be chosen by draw.

Tickets will be sold each Sunday beginning April 1 between the 9:00 & 11:00 services and after the 11:00 service (after the 10:00 service on Easter Sunday). Space is limited to 80 tickets per show.  If you attend the Saturday night production, please keep the “reveal” a secret so it won’t spoil it for those who attend the play on Sunday.

The Presbyterian Men are conducting monthly bingo games for the residents of Nansemond Pointe Transitional Care and Rehab on Constance Road in Suffolk the third Tuesday of every month at 3:00 p.m. We provide small prizes to the winners of each game. It is heartwarming to see how much the participants enjoy the event. Our next Bingo session is April 17. If you would like to volunteer to support a future event, please contact Russell Richards below.

The St. Andrew Presbyterian Men’s group meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month. All men are invited to participate, and we invite the ladies to join us for some of our meetings. We usually convene at St. Andrew at 6:00 PM on meeting nights, enjoy informal fellowship, have dinner around 6:30, have a devotional and tend to a little business after dinner, and finish with a presentation by a variety of speakers. Our speaker’s topics range from church activities and charitable causes to local issues of interest to the community. Annually, we sponsor the Ash Wednesday Pancake Supper at St. Andrew as our main fundraiser. The funds that we raise go mostly to sponsor the St. Andrew Youth. Our group provides volunteers to support a wide variety of St. Andrew activities and mission work. For a change of pace, we also sometimes conduct our meetings at local restaurants. When held at St. Andrew, our meals are usually catered by local restaurants or markets. All men are invited to join us. If interested please contact our moderator, Russell Richards, using the contact form below to be placed on the distribution list.
